Race Report
The first race of the season will be May 29th as a double points event. The Race school will be May 28th with 5 or 6 new racers registered. Course officials have been arranged for flagging and stewarding for the event.
Alan Coles provided a brief AMP report, indicating that Creighton Road seems to have suffered the winter with many bad potholes. The track itself looks good with minor vandalism to the whiteboard in the tech building.
Rally Report
The BAC April Foolishness club rally took place on April 30th, organized by Perry Falconer and Sherrie Hennigar, 9 teams attended.
The next Regional rally event is June 12th with the BAC Bluenose rally (A Sunday, which is unusual). It will be using some roads previously used in Hill Climb events.
Solo Report
Neither Taylor MacArthur nor Jason Smith were present. George Sheppard provided a solo report.
The first ASCC slalom of the season will be held this Sunday at The Truro Power Centre. This is the first parking lot event ASCC has had in a long time. It was requested that competitors show early due to changes in paperwork and classing. The only stipulation the band council has regarding the use of the lot was that tire marks be minimized. Debbie asked that competitors be mindful of the condition of the lot as we would like to maintain a good relationship with the lot owners.
George announced that the first Regional Slalom event has been moved to a Moncton event on June 5th rather than the original June 22nd date.
The ASCC Slalom scoring laptop has suffered a failure. Umberto LoPresti contacted the original software vendor and secured a new copy of the software.
The Spring HPDS currently has 17 deposits for positions. Parties interested in taking the HPDS are encouraged to get their deposits in soon as there are only 25 spots available.
Old Business
Chris Ward found out that the poster that was purchased off of Kijiji came from Wally Hayes’ house, he doesn’t know how the poster became abandoned. It was the last event he participated in before going out west. He confirmed the event was in 1961. Chris suggested that Wally attend an ASCC meeting in the future and bring photos, as he was a photographer.
Paul Machan and his wife had their first child 3 weeks ago.
New Business
No new business was presented.
Swap Shop
Alan Coles has a set of 17″ Hoosier A6’s for sale, he’ll sell them for $400.
