Race Report Sunday was Race #1 with 11 or 12 Sedan cars, the races went well despite some adverse weather. Several new Formula cars were present. The TRAC race school took place Saturday with 4 students, 3 of which went on to participate in races the next day. The High performance Driving school took place on Monday with 28 students completing the school. Bruce Beveredge had a deposit in but was not able to attend. He spoke with Jason concerning holding over the deposit for the next school, which Jason agreed to. Money for the race weekend was all left with Dave Hull at the track and is considered resolved though the event was run at a loss. The next ARMS race is the double-header weekend in June. Rally Report ARMS Navigational Rally #2 is the Saturday BAC Bluenose rally starting and finishing in Windsor, Nova Scotia. Perry Falconer is looking at holding a BAC club event the following weekend but no further information is currently available. RallySprint #1 is coming up July 25th and everything is in place. The location will be shared in July. We currently have 4 or 5 cars ready to go, some with multiple drivers. Solo Report A discussion took place regarding the conversations taking place on the ARMS forum regarding the participation of 'Beginners' licensed drivers. The issue has been brought to the attention of ASN Canada who indicated that only fully licensed (e.g. drive on their own, unsupervised) drivers can participate. Several club members have issues with this ruling and have escalated their grievances directly. It is uncertain as to what the clubs position is on these communications. ~$3100 profit came in because of the school, ~$1900 exhaust vs $5040 intake. A test and tune is being organized on June 19th, 'Test and Tune for a Toonie' leading into the slalom on the 20th. Both events in Digby. Evolution School A discussion took place regarding who was 'in charge' at the Evolution school. Several items were missed or done in a manner which was considered to be inappropriate. e.g. personnel entering the facility without checking in with Airport Authority, issues with waivers, etc. Discussion regarding how future events will be conducted. Issues regarding the funds paid out to the Evo instructors vs money owed to the club was discussed. It has been determined by Brian that the Evo school owes ASCC approximately $1200 after all expenses are totalled. Brian will contact Evo organizers to follow up. In the future to handle money, Evo should be paid upfront and other expenses should be handled by ASCC. This will simplify accounting. The executive discussed and agreed that everyone involved at the executive and organizational level should make it a point to check for required insurance certificates and waivers be present at whatever events we attend to avoid any issues in the future. The topic will be discussed at the general meeting next week. New Business Meeting adjourned at: 9:07pm Todo:
