ASCC Executive Meeting, January 2nd, 2008 In attendance: Bill Anwyll - President Colin Wilmshurst - Treasurer Ian Pearce - Rally Gordon Sleigh - Website/Acting Secretary Misc: Lucas from Kartbahn has asked for a receipt for the amount the club would have spent on Karting for the AGM for his records. Bill has provided. Rally: Ian and Bill discussed the running (or not) of the January ASCC Club rally. Ian suggested postponing the rally to later in the season due to lack of preparation, Bill agreed. The next RallyCross event is January the 6th (Sunday) at AMP. The CARS national meeting is this weekend. RDS French TV coverage is renewed. CARS Cage spec is going to be updated to meet a more rigid specification (for new cages only). Ontario has arranged an exclusion from Bill 203 (The Street Racing bill) to excempt TSD Rallying. The veracity of this exclusion is untested, however. Rally of the Tall Pines had 50+ entries with over 200 volounteers. Website/Tech: The ASCC.ca domain is up for renewal again and will be invoiced to the club to be presented at the January general meeting. Bill had some questions about the ARMS website and its new modifications. Race: Bill received an apology letter from ARMS (Stuart O'Connor) regarding his treatment at the ARMS AGM. Bill is following up with ARMS regarding the money owed to the club(s) for work in 2007. The restriction of the May and August race schools to racers only may be problematic towards getting non-racers on the track not to mention getting the number of volounteers required. There's current also no information available as to how race weekends, schools and lapping sessions are going to be organized. A long discussion took place concerning the involvement of ARMS in the race series, rules changes, fees, etc. Treasurer: Balance is unchanged from the AGM. Meeting adjorned at 9:05pm
