ASCC Sept 13/11 General Meeting Minutes

President Debbie Miller welcomed aLL to the general meeting. The Treasurer, VP and Secretary were not present. Membership total is 152, this will be our final number for Region and for the AGM, bank account totals were $6580.00 and paypal is $8000.00.

Solo - Debbie will send an invoice to Chris Ward for O'Regans and their $300.00 sponsorship for this year. Sprint entries were at 24 for the Sept 3/4 event at  AMP and it looks like we made $650.00. There was an incident where a competitor's car ran into the pit lane wall on the paddock side while he was parking his vehicle, not sure the amount of the damage. The Sept 11 Truro slalom had 30 entries and we had 11 new members. We have to watch the spectators as there was an individual tearing around and the local residents were not happy. We also have to make sure we are all paid up with the band council. The next slalom will be at Truro Sept 30. The timing system seems to be working ok. We do need to figure out a way to keep the competitors working at the events after they have completed their timed runs. We have a rule now that allows the organizer to disqualify anyone who does not help marshal or setup or tear down the course and we may have to get tough next year. Regional slalom for MMSC Oct 2 but no details yet. Our last regional slalom will be at AMP Oct 9.

Rally - Rally sprint had 4 entries, next rally Oct 15 and a rally cross Oct 23 at AMP or SSW.

Race - Sept 23 is lapping and the Pigroast is on for that nite, last region race is Sept 24 if we get 16 pre-registered entries. The JCM will be Oct 10, Taylor offered to take care of security and spectator control. We will try to have a pre-AGM race meeting in Truro, date TBA.

New Business - Region AGM in Truro Nov 3,4,5. ASCC AGM will be at Riverside Pub Dec 13, 2011, we will wait for the January 2012 meeting to have our club social event, maybe at Kartbahn again.

Frank McCarthy reminded us that the film SENNA was playing in Halifax. Next meeting Oct 11, 2011 at Riverside. Charlotte tried to sell a few more tshirts.
