Membership Report 132 Members including two new memberships tonight. Jason Smith will be asked to update the membership list. Treasurer Report $6817.36 Chequing $6014.89 PayPal Money from Sunday's Slalom at Truro has not been tallied. The final loss from the Double Digby event has not yet been determined. The rental bill for the Digby Airport has not been paid. There are some outstanding payments from the Time Attack Event #1. Taylor MacArthur will be asked to follow up. Race Report The August Double Race weekend is coming up on August 20/21st. Because of the money lost on the June event the entry fee is unfortunately increasing to $550. Pre-registration is encouraged. Lapping will take place between sessions again. Rally Report The first RallySprint of the season took place at the end of July. 7 crews ran 4 different cars. Bruce Beveridge and Cindy McCarron bested Steve Quigley and Dana Nauss by 2 seconds over the 15 kilometres of stage. The next RallySprint event is August 28th, a significantly longer 44km event. The next Navigational rally event will be the BAC Bridgewater rally in October. Solo Report Sunday was the 7th Slalom of the season held at the Truro Power Centre. Brian Partridge took FTD in Dave Armstrong's LoCost. Slalom at Slemon took place at the beginning of the month. Entries were down with 37 attending over the two days due to unfortunate conflict with the U2 concert in Moncton. Two run groups made for a well structured day and the dinner was held onsite which was well received. The next ASCC Slalom is next Tuesday at Scotia Speed World for an evening event. Neither Jason Smith nor Taylor MacArthur has followed up with Chris Ward regarding the O'Regans sponsorship. The Brian Jarvis will follow up with them and Chris will follow up with O'Regans. Only one pre-registration has been received for the September double Time Attack. Pre-registrations will have to increase for the event to take place. 18 is the minimum for pre-registrations by August 20th for this event to take place. Solo participants are being encouraged to bring up their thoughts and concerns about the 2011 season and the new ruleset at the ARMS AGM Solo Workshop in November which is taking place in Truro. Old Business The Club decals are still in progress, Jason and Umberto are checking options. New Business Last month a group of ASCC members went on a car show/cruise on Quinpool road. Flyers and posters were handed out. Some interest was generated. Mario Andretti is coming to town for a signing on Thursday at Atlantic Tire on Main Street in Dartmouth at 10:45AM-12:30pm.
