Presidents Report No formal presidents report was provided. Membership Report 161 Members with a few more to be tallied. 150 official members for the ARMS tally. The outstanding membership levies to ARMS will be paid at the AGM. Treasurer Report $9403.50 PayPal $4184.45 Checking $13587.95 Total These figures are current as of this evenings meeting. Race Report 20 people attended the Race workshop on October 30th at Serious Sounds in Truro. Good ideas were shared. The Spec Miata series was discussed, Bruce McNutt has done up preliminary rules. Jeff Martin has produced rules for a Spec Racer series that could bring additional cars to the region with well prepared Thunder and Lightning cars. Transponders were discussed as well as the costs involved when races are losing money. Rally Report The final Navigational rally took place October 16th in Bridgewater, 13 teams competed. The first RallyCross of the season took place on October 24th at AMP, 11 or so drivers participated. The final RallySprint of the year took place on October 31st. 9 teams participated with only one retirement. Solo Report Taylor McArthur provided a Solo report. No events since the last meeting. Mike Barker brought up an issue with the number of slalom events happening predominantly on long weekends which are difficult for those with families to attend. The merits of large slalom lots like airfields vs 'traditional' slalom lots like Magic Mountain was discussed. Taylor is continuing to talk to lot owners for various slalom venues. ASN has approached ASCC about holding the 2011 SoloSprint nationals again. It was discussed by the ASCC executive and decided that the cost of having a national event doesn't make sense since ASN is not willing to compromise on fees and levies. Jason Smith circulated the question of whether ASCC should hold 4 regional slalom events in 2011. New Business Debbie attended the fundraiser event for Charlie Legere which raised over $43,000. The ASCC AGM will take place on December 14th. A discussion took place on whether ASCC should have their usual Kartbahn event. It was generally agreed that Kartbahn will be done even though there will be a Karting event for the ARMS AGM on Friday. A food bank donation for karting will take place again. Jason will get in touch with Kartbahn to make arrangements. A notice mail out will be sent out with notice of the AGM, Proxy and Club Membership form. Brian Jarvis and Debbie Miller discussed compiling a list of club award winners going back as far as possible into the clubs history. Taylor MacArthur was talking about doing a helmet group by through Serious Sounds for new helmets. AGM Report There are 19 members coming to the AGM next week who were members from the 60-70s.
