Membership Report 160 members plus some new additions after the Slalom on Sunday. Final count for the AGM will be done within the week. A discussion was had about ARMS dues with James Partridge and Dave Hull of ARMS, who were present. Treasurer Report The books are currently in flux and a treasurers report will be provided later. Race Report The final regional race of the year was September 25th. The Saturday preceding the race held a lapping session and a pig roast. 16-17 drivers entered for the Sunday race with a minor loss to the region. The third annual Jack Canfield race was held yesterday, Thanksgiving Monday to great success. The event was won by Garnet Loomer and Todd Roberts for the second year in a row. The special Legends race preceding the Enduro was a huge success with 14 cars present. The addition of a safety car to the mix ensured that the race ran smoothly despite several incidents. The event ran a $2800 profit overall which will be donated to AMP. There will be a pre racers meeting at Vantage Volkswagen on October 30th at 1pm concerning the upcoming season and the possibility of a Spec Miata series for 2011. Rally Report October is a busy Rally Month with the TO Bridgewater rally on October 16th, starting and ending at Valley Tire in Bridgewater. The BAC RallyCross starts October 24th at AMP. The final BAC RallySprint event for the season will be held on October 31st in Devan, NS. Supp Regs for all events are available online. Brian Jarvis provided a report on the 2010 Targa Newfoundland. Solo Report George Sheppard provided a Solo report. This past weekend was the final ARMS regional slalom, hosted by ASCC at AMP. 36 entrants. Two SoloSprints were held in September with 24 entrants each event. One member in a Mitsubishi Evolution turned a 1:15 making a new best lap on record for a street car. The ARMS Slalom season has now concluded. Points are being tallied for next month's ARMS AGM. Moncton Motorsport Club may be having a club event at Magic Mountain this Sunday. Frank McCarthy had previously offered a prize of a set of Ferrari Branded shoes to a worthy winner of the ASCC Slalom season. Thus they went to George Sheppard. It was voted by acclimation at the meeting that George should wear these shoes to the ARMS AGM in November. Jason Smith read out the overall Regional standings for Slalom. Brian Gay has won the ARMS Championship with Brian Partridge and George Sheppard tied for second place. Alan Coles took Fourth place. New Business The ARMS AGM will be held in November. Sherrie will be sending a notice of the meeting out to the ARMS Membership list in the next little bit. There will be a special guest speaker at the banquet. There was a motorcycle incident at AMP in September. Charlie Legere had a very serious incident and is still in hospital with major injuries. Several fundraisers have been held and will be held to support him. There will be a benefit for Charlie this Saturday on October 16th at 2pm. Joanne Wilson is coordinating donations.
