Race Report This weekend is the TRAC Series #2 hosted by Moncton. ASCC will be running Saturday lapping sessions on Saturday. Only 5 students were present for the ASCC race school with only one student went on to take their school race. Interest around having further HPDSes and Race schools are being investigated. Ian Pearce spoke on behalf of AARCA and how splitting the schools placed a greater strain on marshals. Ian Pearce also posed the question about ASCC's commitment to holding race weekends in the face of financial losses. MMSC has indicated that they will hold races regardless of losses. Debbie indicated that we should do a pre-registration for the August race that will determine whether or not the event will be held. Debbie, Jason and Gordon will make arrangements to accept credit card payments online for the event. Communication of this policy will be handled at the June and July races. A discussion was held concerning whether or not ARMS will financially cover club losses for hosting regional race events. Brian Jarvis will continue to correspond with ARMS on this matter. AMP Report An AMP work party prior to SuperBikes will be held as usual. The date will be followed up. BAC has offered to replace the roof of the registration building but it has been said that the Bike groups may be interested in replacing the building. Bill and Pidge will followup. Rally Report June 20th is the Bluenose Navigational rally. Pidge indicates that it is 230or so kilometeres with a run time of 4 hours and 30 minutes starting and ending at Steele Subaru in Dartmouth. Novice and Experience directions will follow the same route. Volounteers would be appreciated for checkpointing. Gordon provided an update on the BAC RallySprint events to be held on July 12th and August 16th. CARS has agreed to provide insurance at a rate of $35 per driver which substantially reduces costs. Volounteers will be needed and Supplemental regulations will be posted shortly. Solo Report The first Digby event was on May 31st with 17 competitors. It was a beautiful day with a good course. Unfortunately a lot of regulars weren't present. Next event is June 17th which is a Wednesday night event at Scotia Speed World sponsored by O'Regans. The following events are June 21st (Digby), July 1st (SSW) and July 4/5th. First SoloSprint is July 28th with a lapping/practice day on the 27th. The first ARMS regional solo was in Moncon this past Sunday. 36 entrants. Brian Gay secured FTD on his last run. Solo Sprint Report Work is continuing on organizing the national championships. Sponsorships have begun to be secured. Lots of interest has been received from Ontario and Quebec so far. A letter is going out to clubs across the US and Canada. Two Sprint events will be held prior to nationals and we very much need high attendance for these events. Alan Coles has contacted Red Bull and made arrangement for a car and product giveaways at the National event and will check about having them present for the club events as well. Yokohama has contacted Bill concerning possible sponsorship and he is following up.
