Presidents Report No formal presidents report was given. Membership Report 46 members as of last count with more received tonight. Jason distributed the ASCC group buy TShirts to the members. The group buy broke even with no outstanding costs. Treasurer Report About $9000 in the CIBC account with numerous deposits outstanding. Brian will follow up with Colin concerning these. Race Report The High Performance Driving School is full and entrants not interested in participating in SoloSprints may be pushed to subsequent lapping schools. The Race school currently has no participants though several interested parties have spoken up. AMP: The AMP AGM took place in March. A Safety and Liability committee meeting will take place on April 25th at the work party on-site. Another item which was brought up is that clubs must present their proof of corporate registration 15 days prior to future AMP AGM events. A detailed sound level report was presented as well as a report on proper land and forestry management. The PA system is also being addressed. An AMP Work party to open the track will take place April 25th/26th with an Alternate of May 1st/send. All hands are welcome to help open the track. Bill received an email from the Maritime Z club concerning track sessions and they are now interested in joining ASCC and having ASCC sanctioned events. Jason made an announcement of AFRA putting on lapping schools throughout the season. Lapping schools are a light education session making it easier for people to obtain lapping licenses, allowing more people to get on the track. These schools will be in conjunction with regular lapping sessions throughout the day. Cost will be $100 for the school and $60 for lapping sessions. Rally Report The last rallycross event of the season will take place this Sunday at Scotia Speed World. The next navigational Rally will take place on June 12th in Dartmouth organized by Pidge. Two RallySprint events will take place this season on July 20th and August 16th. More details to follow. Solo Report Unfortunately we have lost the use of the Greenfield airport due to an issue with rental costs which have doubled. This cost was unfeasible. The Solo commitee suggests having an additional 2 events at Digby and an additional event at Scotia Speed World if possible. Brian brought up the topic of discussion concerning the clubs history of subsidizing diciplines having issues. His suggestion was that the additional cost of renting Greenfield at a subsidized rate in the interests of maintaining numbers. A vote was taken concerning whether or not to maintain a Greenfield date on the calendar even despit the additional cost. The vote was inconclusve. Discussions took place concerning event promotion to bring numbers up and make more feasible events. Brian Partridge brought up the new shift situation at the Michelin plants and it was suggested that their PR representatives be contacted. Kevin Doubleday will check on MicMacMall for costs involved even though we haven't had a lot of luck with this management in the future. Its also been said that Orenda in Truro has been repaved, someone will check on this lot. SoloSprint: Bill hasn't yet organized another nationals meeting yet due to other commitments but he intents to have this meeting next week and is soliciting preferred times.
