ASCC General Meeting, November 12th, 2008 ASCC Executive Present President: Bill Anwyll Vice President/Membership: Umberto LoPresti Treasurer: Colin Wilmshurst Secretary: Jason Smith Solo: George Sheppard Rally: Ian Pearce Race: Debbie Miller Members present: 22 The November General meeting was held on Wednesday, November 12th rather than the usual Tuesday due to the observance of the Rememberance Day Holiday. Bill announced that a new informal format for General meetings would be presented. Jason Smith read the talking points for the AGM as presented by Dave Hull on the ARMS webiste. Ian announced that the CARS AGM will be January 11th. RallyCross events on NOvember 23rd and December 7th. November 22/23rd is the Rally of the Tall Pines. A number of international Rally Events were touched on. The attending members were questioned on the lack of attendance in TSD rallies. Advertising/word of mouth in events was brought up by Ralph and others as one of the main reasons for poor attendance. After a discussion concerning notification to all members about events Ian proposed that a mailout be done to all members concerning the upcoming ASCC AGM with an accompanying request for contact preference, either online or by email. This was placed as a vote and passed by those present. Umberto suggested that the ASCC Executive meeting for December be moved up a week to allow time for a mailing to be sent. Due to the BAC AGM this meeting will take place on Wednesday, November 26th. On the topic of the ASCC AGM Bill placed the question of whether or not we wanted to have the ASCC AGM at Kartbahn Indoor Gokarting, this was fairly unanimously agreed. Bill will check with the Kartbahn Management about Karting arrangements. An update on RallySprint was presented with updates on new roads available.
